Britt Robertson has landed a new gig!
The 22-year-old actress just signed on to star in the American DreamWorks Pictures remake of the 2011 French-Canadian film Starbuck.
In the film, Britt will work alongside Vince Vaughn, who will play her dad.
Starbuck is about a troubled teen named Kristen (Britt Robertson) who is one of 533 children that Vaughn’s character fathered through sperm donation.
Britt has just been named the brand ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger’s breezy, girly collection, and debuted her new job in our May issue – and at last night’s Young Hollywood party. And while we can’t say for sure, we bet she’ll also wear Tommy Girl to the premiere of her upcoming movie, The First Time, which stars Britt with another supernatural TV star: Teen Wolf‘s Dylan O’Brien.
Britt Robertson may be best known for playing the good witch / bad witch Cassie Blake on the sorcery soap opera The Secret Circle. (She also got her guts memorably stabbed out in the horror classic Scream 4.) But soon, the 22-year-old will be known as something else: official Tommy Girl.

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (SPWA) announced today they have acquired all U.S. rights and Canadian ancillary rights to Jonathan Kasdan’s teen romancer and 2012 Sundance Film Festival crowd pleaser THE FIRST TIME, produced by Friends with Benefits’ producers Martin Shafer and Liz Glotzer.
THE FIRST TIME is a high school romance that follows two teenagers over the course of one weekend. Dave, a senior about to graduate, and Aubrey, a junior from a different school, meet one night at a party. What begins as a casual conversation soon turns into something more intimate, more romantic, and more complicated than either of them is ready for.
The film stars up-and-comers Dylan O’Brien (“Teen Wolf”), Britt Robertson (“The Secret Circle”), Victoria Justice (Paramount’s upcoming Fun Size), Craig Roberts (Submarine), James Frenchville (Animal Kingdom), LaMarcus Tucker (“Glee”), and Maggie Elizabeth Jones (We Bought a Zoo). Christine Taylor (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story) also stars.
THE FIRST TIME is written and directed by Jonathan Kasdan (In the Land of Women) and executive produced by Carol Fuchs and Liah Kim.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing THE FIRST TIME to Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions and to begin working with them on a fresh, funny, and inventive approach to reaching our audience. Their enthusiasm for the movie, and for its young stars, makes them the ideal partner,” said Kasdan.
